Gah, it’s finally winter. Okay, so not technically, but trust me, it feels like it in Massachusetts. Thankfully, my trusty long grey coat is not only winter-appropriate, but it’s a true staple in my cold weather wardrobe. I love a good minimalistic coat because it can really go with anything in my closet. As fun and unique as bright colored coats are, sometimes it’s hard to style them. Same goes for those jackets with busy patterns and textures.
On another note, I need to take a moment to rave about this Genuine People sweater because it has truly changed my opinion on all things quality. I have to say I’m a Forever 21 gal at heart. Maybe it’s because I’m crazy indecisive and am constantly changing up my style, but I hate spending large amounts of my hard-earned cash on pieces that I know I will mentally grow out of. With that said, I don’t normally go for the pieces that cost more than $50-60. I took a step out of my comfort zone and grabbed this sweater from Genuine People and boy am I happy I did. The quality of this winter staple is like no other. I’ve never owned a sweater that feels like actual heaven until this one. It’s easily one of the warmest sweaters I own, and many times I don’t even need a jacket with it. HIGHLY recommended.
I decided to keep this outfit a bit more simple and pair the sweater and coat with my favorite black Kate Spade purse that I snagged at Nordstrom Rack, a pair of high-waisted black jeans, and simple black ankle booties. AND OF COURSE, a baker boy hat. If you don’t know about my obsession yet, you clearly have never read my blog or Instagram before (it’s okay, I forgive you).
