In my world, the best way to complete any outfit in the winter is with blanket scarves. Gone are the days when I want to wear basic scarves. If it doesn’t cover my entire body on a day when it’s cold enough to make me wish I had a legit blanket, then I don’t want it. For the past two years, I’ve obtained quite the collection of blanket scarves, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
When it comes to styling blanket scarves, you can truly toss one of these babies over any outfit. Feel free to pair a plaid blanket scarf with a simple colored top and jeans or grab a plain colored blanket scarf with a sweater that has a pattern to it. No matter what the trick is to make sure you aren’t going too overboard with patterns.
As for my top, it’s actually two separate tops layered together. I grabbed this sweet long sleeve turtleneck bell sleeve shirt and wore it underneath a cropped blank tank top that I wore a lot in the summer. I saw another gal on Instagram or something along those lines wearing a similar top combination and I knew I needed to try. Much to my surprise, I think it was easier than I thought to pull off. I tossed on a red and white blanket scarf as the sweet cherry on top of this outfit and I think it worked off well, no?
